Food for Thought
"Contemplations on how communion serves community."
Food for Thought is a 3-part program of shared meals and conversation. Taking inspiration from communal meals found in various cultures, Food for Thought works to embrace and integrate the elements of play, resonance, and connection.
Developed over six months, the program took place across three separate days with six participants. We created discussion prompts, readings, and led activities such as making zines of recipes. For oyr final session, each participant cooked a dish to contribute to a communal dinner. Alongside programming, we managed outreach, applications, budgeting, and supplies to bring Food for Thought to fruition.
Endless love to Sofia Belen Criswell—your care, creativity, and commitment shaped every part of this project. Co-hosting with you was a joy! Deep gratitude as well to Problem Library for allowing us to host and steadfast support for young adults <3
